We have kept current information on this page for your reference, however the state has just issued a stop work order to the Arizona Efficiency program effective immediately, until further notice. As of 5pm today, February 20, 2025, the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency has been directed to stop conducting work pertaining to Efficiency Arizona until these issues are resolved. We hope this is not an extended stoppage and look forward to working with you again on the rebates as soon as possible. If you’d like to join our mailing list, we will be happy to keep you updated if and when this program continues. Regardless of whether the rebates continue or not, we hope you will consider Advantage Home Performance for your HVAC equipment needs.
Notice from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency
Due to the current federal Executive Orders, memorandums from the White House Office of Management and Budget, and communications from the U.S. Department of Energy, funding for all Efficiency Arizona programs is currently unavailable and the programs are paused.
This means that Arizona does not have access to the federal funding necessary to continue the work related to Efficiency Arizona programs, including HEAR and HOMES.
We are Advantage Home Performance, a licensed heating, cooling and insulation contractor. Our goal is to help you utilize these Home Energy Rebate programs to improve the comfort and efficiency of your home, as well as to get the maximum rebate and tax credit you are eligible for.
The program is called Efficiency Arizona and it’s offered by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Home Energy Rebates programs. This program is being rolled out late in the 4th quarter of 2024.
We are one of a handful of approved contractors, state-wide, that can install equipment using rebates from this program.
Get on Advantage Home Performance’s mailing list if you are interested in taking advantage of this generous rebate program. Call us at 928-445-3828 or visit our website.
The HOMES program provides up to $4,000 in rebates to improve the efficiency of your home. The HOME rebates double for lower-income households.
The amount of the rebate in the HOMES program varies by the amount of energy savings. Your project will need to reduce your home’s energy usage by at least 20 percent to be eligible for a HOMES rebate.
This is where high efficiency heat pumps, insulation, duct sealing, and other energy efficiency measures come in to reduce your energy consumption.
These rebate programs are complicated. At Advantage Home Performance we have taken the time to learn how to make those programs work for you.
You will need a competent HVAC contractor to help you take advantage of the largest rebates in the program, which are for heat pump installations. We hope to earn the privilege of being your HVAC contractor of choice.
Advantage Home Performance is a licensed contractor who installs heat pumps, insulation and other efficiency measures. AHP has offices in Phoenix, Tucson and Prescott. We won the BBB Torch Award for business ethics in 2019.
The HEAR program provides up to $14,000 per home for point-of-sale discounts on high-efficiency home appliances and equipment. All of the HEAR rebates go to low- and middle-income homeowners.
One of the goals of the HEAR program is to reduce residential greenhouse gas emissions by removing fossil fuel appliances. For this reason, homes with gas furnaces are the best candidates for HEAR rebates.
Your eligibility for these programs will be based on DOE income eligibility thresholds. For more about these thresholds and income eligibility requirements visit https://efficiencyarizona.com/ . Click here for a list of income eligibility limits by Arizona county.
Available Rebates:
Rebates are available now in Arizona, as the programs have just launched as of February of 2025. Advantage Home Performance is closely monitoring these developments and has established a waiting list for potential rebate recipients.
We aim to prequalify homeowners and we are one of only a handful of contractors in Arizona to offer these benefits. Homeowners on our mailing list will receive regular email updates, and we will provide free home estimates which include these rebates. Click the SIGN UP NOW button below to get on our home energy rebate mailing list.
You can also go to the Efficiency Arizona website now to apply for your rebates.
Once you know your approved rebate amount, Advantage Home Performance can help you utilize it against approved equipment or insulation purchases. These are instant rebates, not tax credits, so they can be used immediately to dramatically reduce the price of your purchase.
Among other personal information, here are some things you’ll need for your application, that you will be asked to upload to their website:
1. Proof of income
2. Driver’s license (front and back) or passport page
3. Utility account numbers and latest utility bills
4. Proof of home ownership (mortgage statement, tax bill, etc.)
If you have trouble completing the form, you do have a chance to ask for an appointment for an Efficiency Arizona specialist to help you. Here’s a link to the Efficiency Arizona Website where you can click on Apply Now to learn the amount of your instant rebate from the state.
